Fishin Report May 11th

Hit Keystone last weekend, crappie, small mouth, large mouth, sand bass, flathead & blue cats were all biting good. Bass were very close to the shorelines right after dark. Big blues biting on de-finned crappie at 30-40 feet down. Flathead very active in the wooded structure 15ft deep area by the manford old highway 51 area. Lost one BIG one that hit HARD on my 12 foot surf rod, broke 30lbs line while tearing drag line off the spool. My boating buddies proclaimed “*&@#&$* #$@#$ ITS A DOLPHIN!!” when it broke the surface. It *looked* like a 5 foot long flathead to me. That pole has since been re-strung with 80lbs gator line. I will have my revenge.

Anyway enough with fish stories heres one that didnt get away, and one from long ago that the wife’s grandpa caught.
